dexona is a veterinary anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic agent contains Dexamethasone for horses, cattle, dogs, and cats it is effective in the treatment of primary ketosis in cattle, horse arthritis, laminitis, & any inflammation of the skin let’s know more about the product

Composition

Each ml dexona contains:

Dexamethasone : 2 mg
Benzyl Alcohol NF (as preservative): 15.6 mg
Sodium Metabisulfite NF : 0.75 mg
Excipients:
Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Metabisulfite, Citric Acid Monohydrate, Sodium Hydroxide, Water for Injection.

Indications:

-may be used whenever a parenteral corticosteroid preparation giving a medium duration of activity is indicated.
-It can be used as an anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic agent in horses, cattle, dogs, and cats and for treating primary ketosis in cattle.
-can also be used to induce parturition in cattle.
– is suitable for intravenous use in the horse and is thus beneficial in cases needing emergency treatment.

Dosage & Administration:

-May be administered by intravenous or intramuscular injection in horses, and by intramuscular injection in cattle, dogs and cats. dexona may also be given by intra-articular injection in horses.
Normal aseptic technique should be observed.
