Albendazol 10%Ganadexil l anthelmintic effective for controlling lung, hepatic & Gastrointestinal nematodes for cattle & sheep
Statement of the active substance and other ingredients:
Albendazol 10%Ganadexil contains:
- Albendazole, 100 mg;
- Sodium methyl hydroxybenzoate
- Sodium propyl hydroxybenzoate
- other excipients q.s. 1 ml.
Indications:
Cattle:
Albendazol 10%Ganadexil is used for Control and treatment of verminosis caused by helminths of different location, being active on adult forms, larvae and eggs from:
-Gastrointestinal nematodes: Haemonchus contortus, Ostertagia ostertagi, Trichostrongylus axei, Trichostrongylus colubriformis, Cooperia oncophora, Oesophagostomum radiatum, Nematodirus helvetianus.
-Lung nematodes: Dictyocaulus viviparus.
Cestodes (tapeworms): Moniezia expansa.
-Hepatic trematodes: Fasciola hepatica mature forms
Target species:
Cattle.
Dosage and method of administration:
By ORAL ROUTE
Cattle: Administer in a single dose:
0.75 ml per 10 kg of body weight equivalent to 7.5 mg of Albendazole per kg of body weight, in case of infestations of gastrointestinal nematodes, lung nematodes, and cestodes.
1 ml per 10 kg of body weight equivalent to 10 mg of Albendazole per kg of body weight, in a single dose, in case of infestations of hepatic trematodes Fasciola spp.
Advice on correct administration:
Individually, administer the medicine in each animal.
Use a standard balling gun to introdce the medicine at the bottom of the mouth as deep as possible.
Shake well before using
Withdrawal period:
Meat: 14 days;
Milk: 4 days 8 milkings.
Special storage precautions:
Do not store above 30 °C.
Protect from moisture.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Special warnings:
Overdosage:
The margin of safety is up to 5 times the therapeutic dose.
The tolerance level by oral route is 7.5 ml equivalent to 75 mg of Albendazole per kg of body weight.
However, if a higher dose is administered by mistake, it results in anorexia, lethargy and motor incoordination.
In these cases, drug use should be discontinued
and symptomatic treatment should be administered.
Use in pregnancy and in lactating periods:
Do not use it exceed the prescribed dose during the first month of gestation.
