indications
ALBENDAZOLE 2.5% is indicated for control of different types of worms and adult liver fluke in cattle & sheep.
Cattle :
Roundworm infestation by Bunostomum, Chabertia, Cooperia, Haemonchus, Nematodirus,
Oesophagostomum, Ostertagia, Strongyloides and Trichostrongylus spp.
Lungworms infestation by Dictyocaulus viviparus.
Tapeworms infestation by Moniezia spp.
Adult liver fluke infestation by adult Fasciola hepatica.
Sheep :
Roundworm infestation by Chabertia, Haemonchus, Nematodirus ( including N. battus , Oesophagostomum, Ostertagia, and Trichostrongylus spp.
Lungworm infestation by Dictyocaulus filaria.
Tapeworms infestation by Moniezia spp.
Adult liver fluke infestation by adult Fasciola hepatica.
it is ovicidal and will kill fluke and roundworm eggs, thus reducing pasture contamination.
Contra-indication:
Not to be used in sheep producing milk for human consumption.

Side-effects:
Coughing for some weeks after treatment in cattle suffering from severe lung damage due to
heavy lungworm infestation.
Dose:
ALBENDAZOLE 2.5% is given orally as a single dosa.
Cattle:
For Roundworms and Tapeworms: 1.5 ml / 5 kg. B.Wt as a single dose.
For Adult flukes: 1 ml / 2.5 kg. B.Wt as a single.
Sheep:
For Roundworms and Tapeworms: 1 ml/ 5 kg. B.Wt as a single dose.
For Adult flukes: 1.5 ml / 5 kg. B.Wt as a single dose.
warning
Care not to exceed fluke and worm dose in cows during the first month of pregnancy.
Operators should wear suitable protective clothing.
Avoid direct contact and wash hands after use.
Withdrawal time:
Cattle:
Meat: 14 days.
Milk: 60 hours
Sheep:
Meat: 4 days.
