Amoxitryl WSP is a veterinary antibiotic (Amoxycillin) used for broiler chickens, calves & lambs it is used for the treatment of Pullorum disease Fowl typhoid, cholera, Infectious coryza, Necrotic enteritis, and Colibacillosis let’s know more about the product
Composition
Each 1 gm of Amoxitryl WSP contains
Amoxicillin T. H. 200 mg (Equiv. to amoxicillin base 175 mg)
Properties
Amoxycillin is a Beta-lactam antibiotic that exerts its bactericidal effects by preventing bacterial cell wall synthesis and disrupting bacterial cell wall integrity.
Indications
AMOXITRYL is indicated for the treatment of
Pullorum disease caused by Salmonella pullorum in broiler chicken
Fowl typhoid caused by Salmonella gallinarum in broiler chickens
Fowl cholera caused by Pasteurella multocida in broiler chickens
Infectious coryza caused by Haemophilus paragallinarum in broiler chickens
Necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens in broiler chickens
Colibacillosis caused by E. coli in broiler chickens, calves and lambs
Dosage
Broiler Chickens: 1 gm / litre of drinking water for days 3-5 ( 100 mg / kg B.Wt )
Calves and Lambs: 1 gm / 20 kg B.Wt twice daily for 3 – 5 days
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to penicillin or cephalosporin
Not used in animals with functional rumen
should Not be used in layers

Allergic reactions and diarrhoea
Withdrawal period
Broiler chickens : 3 days
Calves & lambs: 8 days
