CERIFLOX is a veterinary antibiotic of enrofloxacin for cattle used to treat many disease conditions affecting cattle.. What are these conditions? And CERIFLOX dose? All details are mentioned below..
COMPOSITION:
Each ml of CERIFLOX contains:
Enrofloxacin………………………..……100 mg.
INDICATIONS:
Used for cattle in case of conditions as:
-Respiratory Tract Infections.
-Bronchopneumonia, Pasteurellosis.
-Mycoplasmosis.
-Gastrointestinal Infections.
-Salmonellosis, Bacterial Diarrhoea, Coli-Enteritis.
-Colibacillosis.
-Clostridiosis.
-Urogenital Infections, Cystitis, Nephritis.
-Haemorrhagic Septicaemia caused by Pasteurella haemolytica & Pasteurella multocida.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
Inject by S.C. or L.M. route.
Cattle:
1 ml per 40 kg body weight for three days.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
-Do not administer in dogs at the first growing age.
-in case of resistance and sensitivity to quinolones.
-in dogs with an epileptic case history.
-Like fluoroquinolones, Enrofloxacin has a damaging action on articulations, especially in young animals.
-In consequence caution must be taken for not increasing the dose and duration.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Meat: 28 days.
Do not use in lactating animals.
PRECAUTIONS:
Keep out of reach of children.
Protect from sunlight.
Store below 25°C.
