Coglavax for veterinary use only with a prescription
coglavax is an effective clostridium vaccine used in cattle, goat and sheep vaccination to provide protection against many types of clostridium bacteria including: clostridium perfringens, clostridium tetani which may cause tetanus in sheep, Cl. chauvoei causing blackleg disease and even much more which is mentioned below.
Composition
Coglavax contains antigens in sufficient quantity, which ensure satisfactory immunization against:
Cl. perfringens A, B, C, D and other clostridial infections due to Cl. oedematiens, septicum, tetani and chauvoei in inactivated form,
homogenised with aluminium hydroxide adjuvant and formaldehyde as preservative.
Indication
Coglavax provides prevention, by active immunization against enterotoxaemia due to
Cl.perfringens A, B, C, D and clostridial infections due to Cl.oedematiens,
septicum, tetani and chauvoei.
-Enterotoxaemia in adult sheep
-Bacillary dysentery in calves and lambs
-Pulpy kidney disease
– Haemorrhagic enteritis in lambs and kids
– Necrotic hepatitis
– Bradsot or malignant oedema of abomasum
-Blackleg
– Gas gangrene
– Tetanus
Dosage and Administration
