Composition :
Metalgin effective Material:
Dipyrone (Metamizole)………. 500mg/ml excipients
Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Metabisulfite, Water
for injection.
Indications :
Metalgin(Dipyrone) Used as Analgesic, antispasmodic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory.
Contraindications
Metalgin (Dipyrone)not used in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients
This product is contraindicated in the presence of a history or appearance of a blood disorder
It should not be given with chlorpromazine as it may lead to profound hypothermia
Use with caution in elderly or debilitated animals.
Target species :
Metalgin used for horses, dogs and cats
Dosage and mode of use :
Metalgin is given by intramuscular or intravenous injection; It is often beneficial to combine both methods of administration
Horses: 20 to 60 ml (4 ml per 45 kg body weight, on average)
Dogs and cats: 1 to 5 ml (1 ml per 10 kg of body weight)
Give 2 to 3 times daily for a maximum of two days, or as recommended by the veterinarian
Withdrawal period :
metalgin not for use in food or milk-producing animals
Storage of metalgen( Dipyrone)
metalgin(Dipyrone) stores below 30°C in a dry place. Keep away from light.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
The opened vial must be used within 28 days
.
Special precautions :
When using metalgin(Dipyrone) :
IVs are given very slowly due to the risk of shock.
It is not given to horses that are slaughtered for use in food.
Prolonged use is not recommended.
