New Diaclean WDP for prevention and treatment of diarrhea and enteritis in Calves, Lambs and Kids by oral route.
Composition:
Each sachet of New Diaclean WDP contains:
Neomycin sulphate 571.5 mg. Neomycin base 400 mg
Sulfaguanidine 4000 mg.
Kaolin 4000 mg.
Pectin 400 mg.
Vitamin A 80000 I.U.
Bismuth subnitrate 2000 mg.
Properties:
– Neomycin belongs to Aminoglycosides that acts against Gram-negative bacteria as E.coli through irreversibly binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome and thereby interfering with several mechanisms in the mRNA translation process.
– Sulfaguanidine belongs to sulfonamides that have been used for the treatment of colibacillosis (E. coli) by interfering with normal production of RNA, protein synthesis and microbial replication mechanism by interfering with folic acid production.
– Kaolin and Pectin have adsorbent ability so it can adsorb and remove bacterial toxins from intestinal mucosa like E. coli toxins which are considered the most important toxin in diarrhea.
– Bismuth subnitrate is a GIT protectant and adsorbent. It is not absorbed from the GIT and acts by lining the mucosal surface and adsorbing toxic products e.g. E. coli enterotoxins.
Indications:
New Diaclean WDP used For prevention and treatment of diarrhea and enteritis.
Target species:
Used for Calves, Lambs and Kids.
Dose:
New Diaclean WDP is used By oral route.
Calves, Lambs and Kids: 0.5 sachet twice daily.
Contra-indication:
Not used in case:
Presence of intestinal obstruction or hypersensitivity to Aminoglycosides.
Side-effects:
Rarely cause ototoxicity and Nephrotoxicity.
Severe diarrhea and intestinal malabsorption.
Warnings:
Don’t administer Kaolin and pectin with lincomycin as it may inhibit the oral absorption of lincomycin.
Withdrawal periods:
7 Days for meat.
