Oxynex 20% LA is a long-acting antibiotic of oxytetracycline injection for sheep and cattle used to treat a wide range of common systemic, respiratory and local infections caused by or associated with organisms sensitive to Oxytetracycline. Composition:

Each ml Oxynex 20% LA contains:
Oxytetracycline USP 200 mg
As Oxytetracycline Dihydrate USP 215.66 mg
Water for Injection Q.S.
Excipients:
N, N Dimethyl Acetamide, Sodium
Formaldehyde Sulphoxylate, Edetate Disodium, Monoethanolamine, Magnesium oxide Light and Water for Injection.

Indications:

Oxytetracycline is active against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogenic bacteria and certain rickettsia.
It is indicated for the treatment of a wide range of common systemic, respiratory and local infections caused by or associated with organisms sensitive to Oxytetracycline in cattle
and sheep.

Dosage & Administration:

The recommended dose rate is 20 mg per kg bodyweight i.e. 1 ml Oxynex 20% LA per 10 kg bodyweight administered by deep intramuscular injection.

Maximum recommended dose at any one site:
Cattle 20ml.
Sheep 5ml.

Withdrawal period:

Cattle
Meat-31 days,
Milk-10 days.
Sheep:
Meat-9 days,
Milk-7 days.

Special precautions for storage:

Do not store above 30°C.
Protect from light.
Solution may darken on storage but the potency remains unaffected.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
