Composition
Each ml Tilmicos contains
Tilmicosin (as phosphate) 250 mg
Pharmacological properties
Tilmicosin is a macrolide antibiotic that affects protein synthesis in bacteria, thereby inhibiting their growth in vitro. Tilmicosin has specific activity against mycoplasma in poultry, pigs, and cattle. It also affects Gram-positive bacteria and some Gram-negative bacteria, such as Pasteurella.

Indications
Tilmicos For the treatment of respiratory infections in chicken and turkey flocks, associated with Mycoplasma.
Contra-indications
Tilmicos Not for use in animals from which eggs are produced for human consumption.
Dosage and Administrtion
Important: Must be diluted before administration.
To be included in the drinking water at 75 mg tilmicosin per litre (30 ml Tilmicos Oral Sol. per 100 litres) for 3 days.
Depending upon the age of bird, this usually equates to a daily dose of 10-25 mg/kg bodyweight in chickens
One 240 ml bottle is sufficient to medicate 800 litres of drinking water for chickens or turkeys.
One 960 ml bottle is sufficient to medicate 3200 litres of drinking water for chickens or turkeys.
Withdrawal periods
Meat Chicken: 14 days
Turkey: 19 days
Not for use in animals from which eggs are produced for human consumption.
Shelf life and storage
Opened container: 3 months
Closed container: 2 years
Store Talmicus at room temperature away from sunlight
