Oxytetravet 25% is an antibiotic of oxytetracycline for animals (Poultry, Calves, Lambs, and Foals) used for treatment of general bacterial infections caused by gram+ve & gram-ve bacteria, respiratory and enteric infections. Byttara provides you with the product description for more information.
Composition
Each 1 g Oxytetravet 25% contains:
Oxytetracycline 250 mg.
Indications
Indicated for the treatment of general bacterial infections caused by gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, Rickettsia, Mycoplasma and for the treatment of respiratory and enteric infections.
Target species
Poultry, Calves, Lambs, and Foals.
Dosage and administration
By oral administration in the drinking water.
Poultry: 100 g/200 liters of drinking water for 3 – 4 days.
Small ruminants (Calves and Lambs) and Foals: 1 – 1.5 g/20 kg bodyweight in drinking water for 3 – 4 days.
Contraindications
Do not use Oxytetravet 25% in case of hypersensitivity to Oxytetracycline or any other substance from the Tetracycline group.
Do not use in cases of known tetracycline resistance.
Withdrawal period
Meat: 14 days.
Eggs: Do not use in laying birds producing eggs intended for human consumption.
Storage
protect from light, Store in a dry place at a temperature below 25°C.
Shelf life: 36 months.
