Composition
Each 1 ml. AVITRYL- 10 contains:
- Enrofloxacin............ 100 mg.
Properties:
AVIIRYL-10inj. is an excellent antimicrobial agent which belongs to the second generation of quinolones.
the mode of action of Enrofloxacin is believed to be the inhibition of DNA gyrase that maintains a superhelical twist in DNA.
Enrofloxacin produces a comprehensive and extenšive Control against a wide range of infectious diseases. It has a wide spectrum of action against most
Gram-negative bacteria including E Colli, Salmonella, Klebsiella, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, and Pseudomonas, and Gram-positive bacteria including Staphylococci, Clostridia, Streptococcal, as well as, Chlamydia and Mycoplasmas spp.
Indications:
AVITRYL-10 Inj. is recommended for treating most diseases affecting respiratory, digestive, and urogenital tracts, caused by Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria as well as Mycoplasmas and chlamydia.
Cattle:
Bronchopneumonia (Pasteurella hemolytic, Mycoplasma Bovis), Haemorrhagic septicemia, Salmonellosis, Urogenital infections, Septicaemia, Dysentery, Skin infection and Acute Mastitis (E. Colli Staphylococcus aureus and Mycoplasma agalactia)
Dosage & administration
AVITRYL-10 Inj. for Cattle and calves:
By subcutaneous injection.
2.5-5 mg/kg b. w. for 3 days. (1.25-2.5 ml/50 kg body weight).
Withdrawal period
Cattle should not be slaughtered within 14 days from the last treatment
Milk should not be used within 7 days from the last treatment.
Contraindication
Should be used on bacteria susceptible to Enrofloxacin.
Enrofloxacin solution for injection should not be used for prophylaxis.
Enrofloxacin should not be administered by the intravenous route except for E. Colli mastitis: administered by slow intravenous injection: 5.0 ml per 100 kg body weight (5 mg enrofloxacin per kg) b.w. for two days.
Enrofloxacin should be reserved for the treatment of clinical conditions which have responded poorly or are expected to respond poorly, for other classes of antimicrobials.
Whenever possible, Enrofloxacin should only be based on susceptibility testing.
Storage
Store in a dark place at a temperature below 30 °C.
