BUTADIN contains phenylbutazone injection for horses which is an anti inflammatory drugs non steroidal effective in the treatment of colic in horse, treatment of mastitis, horse arthritis let’s know more details about the product
COMPOSITION
Each 100 ml BUTADIN contains
Phenylbutazone (BP)………………………………..20 gm
INDICATIONS
anti inflammatory for treatment of Arthritis, tendinitis, articular and muscular rheumatisms, inflammatory complications of trauma and infection, hyperthermia and heat stroke etc
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATIONS
For Horses
it is administered by intravenously
1 to 2 g per 1,000 lbs of body weight (5 to 10 mL/1,000 lbs) daily
OR 1-2 ml per 50 kg body weight
PRECAUTIONS
Animals suffering from vascular fragility or coagulation defects should receive a lower dose rate and the injection should not be repeated.
it is not for subcutaneous or intramuscular use.
Do not use in animals showing hypersensitivity to any of its ingredient.
Avoid use in dehydrated and hypotensive animals. Keep out of the reach of children.
