COMPOSITION
Cal Mix Solution for Injection is a clear, slightly yellow coloured sterile solution for injection containing below listed active substances and excipients in each ml
- Calcium gluconate 90 mg (equivalent to 17,69 mg calcium)
- Calciumglucoheptonate 45 mg (equivalent to 3,68 mg calcium)
- Calcium d- saccharate 10 mg (equivalent to 1,25 mg calcium)
- Magnesium chloride 60 mg (equivalent to 15,32 mg magnesium)
- Methyl paraben 0,4 mg
- Butaphosphan
INDICATIONS
Cal Mix Solution for Injection is used in the treatment and prevention of acute and chronic metabolism diseases caused by calcium, magnesium and phosphorus deficiency in cattle, horse, sheep, goat and dog.
• In cattle: it is used in the treatment of hypocalcemic paralysis (birth fever, paresis puerperalis), tetanus (pregnancy or lactation tetany, grass tetany), diseases due to deficiency of minerals in it composition (rickets, osteomalacia),allergies, anaphylaxis, decubitus wounds, toxicosis, neuroses puerperal hemoglobinuria and to support growth deficiency in newborns
• In horses; it is used in the treatment of diseases (rachitis, osteomalacia) caused by mineral deficiency, morbulus maculosus, allergies, decubitus, toxicosis and to support growth deficiency in new bombs.
• In sheep and goat; It is used in the treatment of osteomalacia, acetonuria,decubitus wounds, metabolism disorders due to lack of minerals in the composition of the product, toxicosis and to support growth deficiency in newborns.
• In dogs; it is used in the treatment of anaphylaxis, rachitis, osteomalacia, allergies, toxicosis, neurosis, haematuria, urticaria, eclampsia. Generally it is used in the treatment of poisonings caused by chloroform, carbon tetrachloride
ADMINISTRATION ROUTE AND DOSAGE
-Unless otherwise is recommended by the veterinarian,it is used via intramuscular (IM), intravenous (I.V) and subcutaneous (SC) route in cattle, horse, sheep, goat, and dog.

Cows and horses: a weight of 500-300 kg has 500-300 ml
Calves and foals (small horse) weight 100-50 kg per 100-50 ml
Sheep and goats weighing 100-50 kg have 100-50 ml
Dogs: 5-20 kg for 5-20 ml
OVERDOSE SYMPTOMS AND ANTIDOTE
When Cal Mix is administered in high dosages and rapidly, it causes acute heart blockage, hypercapnia, arrhythmia, sweating, and increase in heart frequency due to toxemia.
In this case administration of the drug should be stopped immediately and atropine sulfate should be used as an antidote.
Physiological saline solution and diuretics such as furosemide can provide calcium elimination via urine in case of overdosage.
In intravenous calcium applications to animals with hypocalcemia and endotoxemia, care should be taken against the risk of cardiac arrhythmias
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
It should not be used in hypercalcemia ,hypercalciuria and cardiac insufficiency, Usage during pregnancy: It is safe to use in pregnancy and lactation
