Indications
for Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by doxycycline sensitive micro-organisms like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E. coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. in calves, goats, poultry and sheep
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to tetracyclines Administration to animals with a seriously impaired hepatic function.
Concurrent administration of penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones and cyclosering. Administration to animals with an active microbial digestion
Dosage
Doxy ws For oral administration
Calves, goats and sheep: 25 mg/kg body weight for 3 – 5 days
Poultry: 1 kg per 2000 – 4000 litre drinking water (corresponding to 10-20 mg doxycycline hyclate/kg body weight) for 3 – 5 days
Note: for pre-ruminant calves, lambs and kids only
Withdrawal periods
For meat Calves, goats and sheep : 14 days
Poultry : 7 days
Storage
Store below 25 °C.
After first opening, store below 25 °C, and finish within 2 weeks Finish medicated drinking water within 24 hours
