Composition
Gentavet contains
- Gentamicin(Sulphate)............................. 50 mg/ml
- Sodium Metabisulphite, Sodium Sulphite, Disodium Edetate, Propylene Glycol, Sulphuric Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Water for injection
Indications
Gentavet is indicated for infections of the Respiratory and gastrointestinal system Urogenital system, Metritis, Mastitis, Skin and soft tissues
Target species
Cattle, Goats, Sheep, Poultry, Dogs and Cats
Dosage and administration
Intramuscular or Subcutaneous injection
Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Poultry, Dogs and Cats: 1 ml / 10 kg bodyweight twice for one day, then once daily for 3-4 days.
Withdrawal period
Meat: 28 days
Milk & Eggs : 7 days
Storage
Protect from light, Store in a dry place, below 25°C
Shelf life: 24 months
Contraindications
Gentavet is not to be used in case of hypersensitivity to Gentamicin or other Aminoglycoside or any excipients.
-Not to be used in animals with impaired renal function, and disorders of the auditory and sense of balance.
or concomitantly intravenously or intraabdominal when muscle relaxants are administered.
– in dehydrated animals because of risk of acute kidney failure
– with bacteriostatic acting antibiotics highly active diuretics and potential nephrotoxic medicines
