Glanvac 3 | Clostridial diseases vaccine | for sheep, lambs, goats and kids

Composition
Glanvac 3 contains:
-C. pseudotuberculosis (ovis) ≥ 6 cpu/mL
-Cl.perfringens type D > 5 IU/mL
-Cl. tetani ≥ 2.5 IU/mL (as ultrafiltered toxoids) Vaccine 0.1 mg/mL Thiomersal added as a preservative.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Glanvac 3 For the control of caseous lymphadenitis (CLA or cheesy gland) and the prevention of enterotoxaemia (pulpy kidney disease) and tetanus in sheep, lambs, goats, and kids.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
-Shake well before use and keep thoroughly mixed during use.
-Glanvac 3 can be stored for up to 30 days after first opening.
-Handle aseptically and store refrigerated and protected from light.
-When not in use during any given vaccination session, keep the vaccine out of sunlight and as cool as possible.
-Do not leave in the light or at high temperatures for long.
Ideally, place the vaccine pack into its original cardboard carton and place it in a portable cooler with an ice brick or a refrigerator.
Side effects
-Localised swelling may develop at the site of injection, a nd a firm nodular lump may persist for some weeks or even months.
-Cases have been recorded of goats developing signs of shock shortly after vaccination.
-This is believed to be due to sensitisation as a result of previous vaccination.
-This vaccine has been prepared in a manner that will reduce the risk.
-Nevertheless, valuable animals should be kept under close observation for one hour after vaccination and a vet.
-Call immediately if signs of shock become evident.
Dosage and administration
The dose on all occasions is 1 mL injected subcutaneously (just under the skin).
-The recommended site for injection is the neck, behind the ear.
-Sheep and Goats (All ages): give 1 mL followed by a second dose of 1 mL, administered four weeks later.
-Pregnant ewes and does: If the animals have not been previously vaccinated,1 mL should be injected at the time of mating and a second dose given up to four weeks before the expected date of birth.

-Store Glanvac 3 in a refrigerator between +2°C and +8°C
-Protect from light. Do not freeze.
-Shake well before use.
