Levazan 225 is an antiparasitic drug of oxyclozanide and levamisole for sheep , goats and cattle treating roundworm, tapeworm and liver fluke. For more details, Look at the description below..
COMPOSITION:
Each ml Levazan 225 contains:
Levamisole hydrochloride 75 mg/ml
Oxyclozanide 150 mg/ml
INDICATIONS:
Levazan 225 is indicated For the treatment of roundworm, tapeworm, and liver fluke in Cattle, Sheep, and Goats.
Highly effective against mature and immature stages of all the major gastrointestinal roundworm and hookworm of cattle, sheep, and goats.
Also effective in the removal of tapeworm segments in sheep and lambs.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
7.5 mg levamisole and 15 mg oxyclozanide per kg, using suitable oral dosing equipment, according to the following:
Cattle: 5 ml per 45 kg body mass.
Sheep & Goats: 1 ml per 10 kg body mass.
sheep:
1.5 ml for 15 kg
2.0 ml for 16-20 kg
2.5 ml for 21-25 kg
3.0 ml for 26-30 kg
3.5 ml for 31-35 kg
4.0 ml for 36-40 kg
4.5 ml for 41-45 kg
Cattle:
10 ml for 90 kg
15 ml for 91-135 kg
20 ml for 136-180 kg
25 ml for 181-225 kg
30 ml for 226-270 kg
35 ml for 271-315 kg
40 ml for 316-360 kg
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:
– Assess body mass as accurately as possible for proper dosing of Levazan 225. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
– Side effects are rare and transient but may include head shaking, salivation and softening of feces. Such effects may be accentuated in animals with severe liver damage, or in dehydrated animals.
– Do not eat, drink or smoke while dosing.
– Not recommended during late pregnancy as treatment at this time could result in stress-related adverse effects.
WITHDRAWAL TIME:
Meat-
Cattle and Sheep: 14 days.
Milk-
Cattle: Nil;
Sheep- Do not use it in ewes producing milk for human consumption.
