Composition:
Each 1 Ml of Linco Spect contains:
- Lincomycin hydrochloride equivalent to lincomycin base........... 50mg
- Spectinomycin sulfate equivalent to spectinomycin base .........100mg
- Benzyl alcohol.........................................................................................9mg
- Water for injection q.s
Linco Spect Indications for use:
Linco Spect is a sterile solution indicated for the treatment of infections caused by organisms sensitive to the action of lincomycin and/or spectinomycin.
In calves Linco Spect is used for treatment of:
-respiratory infections, arthritis and omphalitis.
In sheep and goats Linco Spect is used to treat:
-respiratory infections and mycoplasmosis.
In chickens and turkeys for treatment of:
-mycoplasmosis associated or not with Escherichia coli.
-Treatment of aerosacculitis caused by Escherichia coli.
-Treatment of avian cholera caused by Pasteurella multocida.
In cats and dogs to treat:
-respiratory, intestinal, urinary, skin infections (including wounds and abscess).
-Arthritis caused by organisms sensitive to the action of lincomycin and/or spectinomycin, including Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Bacteroides spp., Clostridium spp., Fusobacterium spp., Actinomyces spp., Mycoplasma spp.

Dosage and administration of Linco Spect:
-As with any multi-dose vial, practise aseptic techniques in withdrawing each dose of Linco Spect.
-adequately clean and disinfect the vial closure prior to entry with a sterile needle and syringe.
Non-ruminating Calves :
15mg per kg (1 ml/10 kg) of body weight intramuscularly, twice daily.
the first day followed by once daily for 2 to 4 days.
Sheep:
15 mg per kg (1 ml/10 kg) of body weight intramuscularly once daily for 3 days.
Chicken:
30mg per kg (0.1 ml/0.5 kg) of body weight subcutaneously once daily for 3 consecutive days or injected once and followed with soluble powder water medication for 3 to 5 days.
Dogs and Cats: 30 mg per kg (1 ml/5 kg) of body weight intramuscularly may be repeated at 12 or 24 hour intervals for up to 21 days.
Withdrawal period:
Calves: 21 days.
Sheep: 15 days.
Poultry: 5 days.
Storage conditions:
Store below 25° C.
-Do not administer to poultry producing eggs for human consumption.
-Do not administer to animals producing milk for human consumption.
