Macrolan 200 is used for treating animal bacterial diseases such as mastitis in cattle and sheep. It is a tylosin injection for sheep, goats, cattle and calves.

Composition:
Macrolan 200 Contains per ml:
Tylosin base (as tartrate):…………………………….200 mg
Benzyl alcohol E1519………………….…………… 40.5 mg
Macrolan indications:
It is used for the treatment of infections that is caused by tylosin-sensitive microorganisms.
Cattle
-For the treatment of respiratory infections in addition to metritis caused by Gram-positive bacteria and mastitis caused by Streptococcus, Staphylococcus and mycoplasma.
-For the treatment of interdigital paronychia.
Calves
-For the treatment of respiratory infections and necrobacillosis.
Sheep and goats
-Treatment of respiratory infections in addition to metritis which is caused by Gram-positive bacteria and mastitis that is caused by Gram- positive bacteria and mycoplasma.
Contra-indication:
-it should not be given to chickens or turkeys, and do not administer to horses or other equines in which injection of tylosin may be fatal.
Target animals:
Cattle, calves, sheep, and goats.
Macrolan dosage and method of administration:
It’s should be given by intramuscular injection at the following dose rates:
Cattle and calves:
5- 10 mg tylosin base per kg body weight daily, for 3 days This corresponds to 2.5- 5.0 ml/ 100 kg body weight.
The maximum injection volume per injection site is 15 ml.
Sheep and goats
10 mg tylosin base per kg body weight daily, for 3 days. This corresponds to 1.0 ml/ per 20 kg body weight.
Advice on correct administration of Macrolan:
To ensure the correct dosage, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible in order to avoid under-dosing.
Withdrawal time:
Cattle and calves:
Meat and offal: 28 days.
Milk: 108 hours.
Sheep and goats
Meat and offal: 42 days.
Milk: 108 hours.
Special dosage precautions:
-Store it below 25 °C.
-Once opened, store in the refrigerator at 2-8 °C and use it within 14 days.
-Keep the vial in the outer carton box in order to protect from light.
