Marbomax 10% is a veterinary marbofloxacin antibiotic used for treatment of various conditions including: pneumonia treatment in cattle and mastitis caused by E.coli.

Composition:

Each 1 ml of Marbomax 10% contains:
Marbofloxacin……………………………100 mg
Gluconolactone………………………….100 mg
Monothioglycerol…………………………..1 mg
Disodium Edetate………………………..0.1 mg
Monoethanolamine………………………130 mg

Indications:

Marbomax 10% is used for the treatment of:
– respiratory disease and acute mastitis caused by bacteria susceptible to marbofloxacin.
– Pasteurella pneumonia(Pasteurella multocida, Pasteurella haemolytica), Mycoplasma pneumonia(Mycoplasma bovis), Acute mastitis caused by E.coli.

Dosage and Administration:

• Cattle : Inject intramuscularly or subcutaneously.
– Respiratory therapy: Inject 1ml per 50 kg B.W.(as Marbofloxacin 2 mg per kg B.W.) once a day for 3-5 days.

– Acute mastitis therapy: Inject 1ml per 50 kg B.W. (as Marbofloxacin 2mg per kg B.W.) once a day for 3 days.
First day of administration can be injected intravenously according to symptoms.

Withdrawal period:

Cattle : Meat-6 days / Milk-36 hours.

Cautions:

– Do not use it for animals having hepatic and renal impairment.
– Gastrointestinal disorders (Vomiting loss of appetite, diarrhoea and abdominal pain) may appear.
– Central nervous system disorders (dizziness, anxiety, headache, depression, ataxia, seizures, and etc.) may appear.
– And do not use it for animals with central nervous system disorders (seizures).

– Hypersensitivity and crystalluria may appear.
– Probenecid can increase the blood concentration by preventing the excretion of the drug in uriniferous tubules.
– The blood concentrations of theophylline and caffeine may be increased when administered theophylline and caffeine together.
– When it is used with Cyclosporine, nephrotoxicity of Cyclosporine may become stronger.
