OXYJAT - 5% is a veterinary antimicrobial injection (oxytetracycline) used to treat infections in animals.
COMPOSITION
Every 1 ml of OXYJAT – 5% contains:
Oxytetracycline (as dihydrate) 50 mg.
INDICATIONS
Indicated in the following: Actinobacillosis, Anaplasmosis, Diphtheria,
Leptospirosis, bacterial pneumonia,
soft tissue infections, genitourinary tract infection (Cervicitis, Metritis, Mastitis), Mycoplasmosis and gastrointestinal tract infections.
DOSAGE
Cattle, buffaloes, sheep, goats, and camels: 1.5- 4.0 mg per kg BW, by deep IM or IV (slow) route, daily for 3- 5 days.
Horses: 3-10 mg per kg BW, by slow IV route, daily for 3-5 days.
IM injection should be avoided due to possible local irritation and pain at the site of injection.
WITHDRAWAL TIME
Meat- 15 days.
Milk-60 hours.
