COMPOSITION:
OXYSAV 5% contains
Active substance:
Oxytetracycline (as hydrochloride) 50 mg/ml.
Also contains:
Sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate and water for injection.
TARGET SPECIES:
Horses, cattle, sheep, dogs, and cats.
INDICATIONS:
OXYSAV 5% is used for treating infections caused by organisms sensitive to oxytetracycline.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
The recommended dose is 3 – 10 mg /kg of body weight by intramuscular or intravenous injection in large animals, and subcutaneous or intramuscular injection in small animals.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Milk: 144 hours (6 days).
Meat:
Cattle: 35 days.
Sheep: 14 days.
PRECAUTION:
OXYSAV 5% is not for intravenous administration in dogs or cats.
STORAGE:
-Do not store above 30°C.
-Store in a dry place.
-Protect from light.
-Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
-The punched vial should be used within 28 days.
