Povidone Iodine Solution General antiseptic.used before and after surgery & help in wound Healing
Composition
Povidone lodine 100 mg/ml
Properties
it has microbicidal broad spectrum activity covers gram positive and gram negative bacteria including strains resistant to antibiotics, it also covers fungi, protozoa, spores and viruses.
Activity of Povidone lodine solution is not affected by blood, pus, soap or bile.
Povidone lodine solution is non staining and non irritant to skin or mucous membranes and can be easily washed off from skin and natural fabrics.
Indications
POVIDONE IODINE 10% General antiseptic.
Directions for use
Apply POVIDONE IODINE 10% locally with sterile gauze or as wet dressing and the process can be repeated when necessary.
Povidone lodine solution is diluted for different uses as follows:
Irrigation of body cavities and wounds .(1/10-20)
Pre-surgical bathing …..(1/100)
Normal bath ……………..(1/1000)
Skin disinfection: do not dilute.
Wound disinfection: do not dilute.
Precautions
For external use only.
If swelling or irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
In the case of newborns, please keep use to a minimum and under medical supervision.
Storage conditions
Store below 25°C.
in a dry place.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
