Reflam is a fast and effective treatment for inflammation in cows, horses, cats and dogs. It is also used to treat joint, muscle and tendon inflammation in horses.
Composition
Each 1 ml of Reflam contains 2 mg of triamcinolone acetonide.
Indications
1-Reflam is a fast and effective treatment for inflammation in cows, horses, cats, and dogs.
2- A veterinary anti-inflammatory used to treat muscle and tendon inflammation and joint inflammation in horses.
3- It is one of the best anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic agents, and is considered the best muscle pain reliever.
Dosage and Administration
Reflam is administered by intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.
Horses: 0.01–0.02 ml/kg body weight in a single dose. (Usual maximum range: 6–10 ml/animal.)
Dogs and cats: 0.05–0.1 ml/kg body weight in a single dose. Recovery usually lasts 7–15 days. If symptoms reappear, the dose may be repeated.
Dairy cattle: Treat ketosis by intramuscular injection, 10 ml/animal in a single dose.
If there is no improvement within 48 hours, the diagnosis should be reconsidered.
Symptoms may reappear in some animals within 4–40 days after treatment. In this case, the dose should be repeated.
Intra-articular or intra-articular methods (arthritis):
Horses: 3–9 ml/animal in a single dose. Repeat the same dose 3–4 days later, if necessary.
Dogs and cats: 0.5–1.5 ml/animal in a single dose. Repeat the same dose after 3–4 days, if necessary.
Withdrawal period
Meat: 21 days
Milk: Do not use.
Contraindications
1- Do not use Reflam for animals hypersensitive to any of its ingredients.
2- Do not use for animals with impaired kidney/liver function.
Storage
Store Reflam in a cool place and keep away from direct sunlight.
