Composition
Each 30 ml of Scourstop contains:
Neomycin sulfate 54 mg
Sulfadimidine 1065 mg
Sulfadiazine 1065 mg
Streptomycin (sulfate) 182 mg
Hyoscine 0.95 mg
Calcium (gluconate) 5.9 mg
Potassium (chloride) 57 mg
Magnesium (sulfate) 1.77 mg
Sodium (chloride) 133 mg
Glycine 627 mg
Pectin 159.6 mg
Kaolin 3.1g
Indications
1-Scourstop is used to treat and prevent bacterial diarrhea, gastroenteritis, and diarrhea complicated by pneumonia caused by bacteria sensitive to the product.
2-It is used to replace mineral losses associated with diarrhea, reduce bowel movements, and act as an antispasmodic.
Dosage and Administration
Treat twice daily with following dose for 3-5 days.
Lambs, Kids, Dogs, and Cats: 2 ml /3 kg body weight
Calves and Horses: 30 ml/25 kg body weight.
When treating Salmonellosis and bacterial pneumo- nias, continue treatment for a minimum of 5 days.
1 stroke delivers 1.5 ml of SCOURSTOP
Contraindications
Do not use SCOURSTOP in animals with known sulfonamide sensitivity, liver damage or blood dyscrasias.
Withdrawal period
Meat: 14 days after the last dose.
Dairy: Not for use in dairy or lactating cows.
