Each 1 ml Tremazanide Suspension contains

Properties
Oxyclozanide is a member of the salicylanilide class of anthelmintics
Salicylanilides are hydrogen ionophores that act as potent uncouplers of oxidative phosphorylation
The site of action of these proton ionophores is known to be selective uncoupling of oxidative phosphorylation in parasite mitochondria
Indications
Tremazanide Suspension is indicated for the treatment of Fascioliasis (Adult liver fluke) caused by Fasciola spp
-also indicated for the treatment of tapeworms (Moniezia spp
Dosage and administration
Administer Tremazanide Suspension as an oral drench and shake well before use
Cattle
Animals from 50 to 350 kg B.Wt 15 ml per 50 kg B.Wt
Animals over 350 kg B.Wt
100 ml regardless of the weight
Sheep & goats
Animals to 15 kg B.Wt
5 ml
Animals from 15 to 30 kg B.Wt 10 ml
Animals from 30 to 45 kg B.Wt 15 ml

Side effects
can be used at therapeutic doses in debilitated and pregnant animals without side effects
At doses of 25 mg/kg in ruminants may produce minor side effects including softening of faeces, increased the frequency of defecation, slight depression and inappetence
Contra-indications & warnings
Animals should not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment
Not used in lactating sheep
