vimectin is a veterinary ivermectin antiparasitic drug used for treatment and control of sheep parasites and cattle parasites. Doses of vimectin and the withdrawal period are mentioned below
COMPOSITION:
Vimectin contains:
- Ivermectin 10 mg
- Benzyl alcohol 0.1 mL
- Propylene glycol 1 mL
INDICATIONS:
effective for the treatment and control of the harmful parasites of cattle and sheep.
DOSAGES:
should be given only by subcutaneous injection at the recommended dosage level of 200 mcg ivermectin per kg bodyweight under the loose skin in front of, or behind, the shoulder in cattle and over the neck in sheep.
1 ml per 50 kg bodyweight of cattle and sheep.

WITHDRAWAL PERIODS
Cattle:
-Meat and offal: 49 days.
-Do not use in lactating cows producing milk for human consumption.
-or in nonlactating dairy cows, including pregnant dairy heifers within 60 days of calving.
Sheep:
-Meat and offal: 42 days.
-Do not use in lactating sheep producing milk for human consumption.
-or in sheep within 60 days of lambing where milk is to be used for human consumption.
STORAGE:
Store in a dry place not exceeding 30°C.
Protect from light.
