Vimelinspec Injection, indicated for the treatment of infections caused by organisms sensitive to the action of lincomycin and/or spectinomycin for Pre-ruminant calves, dogs & cats
COMPOSITION:
Each mL Vimelinspec contains:
- Lincomycin (as Lincomycin hydrochloride) 50 mg
- Spectinomycin as Spectinomycin sulphate100 mg
- Benzyl alcohol 0.01 ml
TARGET SPECIES:
Pre-ruminant calves, dogs & cats
INDICATIONS:
Vimelinspec is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by organisms sensitive to the action of lincomycin and/or spectinomycin, including: Actinobacillus spp.,
Pasteurella spp., Escherichia coli Salmonella spp., Campylobacter spp., Bacteroides spp., Clostridium spp., Fusobacterium spp., Actinomyces spp., Streptococcus spp., Mycoplasma spp.
METHOD AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:
By intramuscular injection.
Pre-ruminant calves: 5 mg Lincomycin and 10 mg Spectinomycin combined activity per kg bw (1 mL/10 kg bw) intramuscularly twice daily for the first day followed by once daily for 2-4 days according to clinical response.
Dogs and cats: 10 mg Lincomycin and 20 mg Spectinomycin combined activity per kg bw (1 mL/5 kg bw) intramuscularly.
May be Repeated at 12 to 24 hour intervals for 3-7 days according to clinical response.

WITHDRAWAL TIME:
Pre-ruminant calves:
Meat and offal: 21 days.
Milk: do not use in animals producing milk for
human consumption
SPECIAL STORAGE PRECAUTIONS:
-Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
-Do not store above 30°C.
-Protect from light.
-Shelf-life of Vimelinspec as -packaged for sale: 3 years
-Shelf-life of Vimelinspec after first opening: 28 days
