Betamox is the strongest veterinary antibiotic for sheep, cows, cats and dogs that contains amoxicillin, which is effective in controlling Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria that cause pneumonia, diarrhea, arthritis, umbilicus, mastitis and others.

التركيب

Betamox is a sterile white suspension containing
150 mg/mL amoxicillin as amoxicillin trihydrate.

دواعي الاستخدام

Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum, semi-synthetic bacterial penicillin used in cows, sheep, dogs and cats. In the laboratory, amoxicillin is effective against many gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria
and is effective in controlling infections caused by some sensitive microorganisms in cows, sheep, dogs and cats, in which case a single prolonged injection is sufficient. It can be effective in secondary bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, in which case the bacteria are not the main cause of the disease.
Indications include conditions:
a) gastrointestinal,
b) Respiratory,
c) Skin and soft tissues,
d) genitourinary system,
e) and prevention of post-operative infections.

Contraindications

Betamox is not allowed to be given intravenously.
It is not effective against beta-lactamase-producing bacterial strains.
Amoxicillin, like other penicillins, cannot be given orally to rabbits and gerbils

Dosage and route of administration
Cattle and sheep: Intramuscularly.
الكلاب والقطط: Intramuscular/subcutaneous.
The recommended dose is 15 mg/kg body weight and can be repeated within 48 hours.
Massage the inoculation site.
Shake well before use.
Betamox does not contain antimicrobial preservatives.
Use a dry, sterile syringe.

Withdrawal time

Milk may not be used during treatment for human consumption. In the case of cows that are milked twice a day, milk may be given for human consumption 79 hours after the last treatment.
Cattle can only be slaughtered for human consumption 23 days after the last treatment.
It is not given to sheep whose milk is given for human consumption!
Sheep can only be slaughtered for human consumption 16 days after the last treatment.

Keep out of the reach of children!
Shelf life of the veterinary medicinal product as packaged for sale: Two years.
Shelf life immediately after opening the package: 28 days.
