Furovet| Furosemide| injectable Diuretic| for Cattle, horses, cats and dogs

Furovet is a potent diuretic for parenteral administration to cattle, horses, cats and dogs , indicated in the treatment of oedema associated with cardiac insufficiency, renal dysfunction, trauma and parasitic disease.
COMPOSITION:
Each ml of Furovet contains:
-Furosemide 50 mg
-Exp.qs 1 ml
INDICATIONS FOR USE:
-Furovet is a potent saluretic diuretic for parenteral administration to cattle, horses, cats, and dogs.
-It is indicated in the treatment of
oedemata associated with cardiac insufficiency, renal dysfunction, trauma and parasitic disease.
-It is also recommended to treat mammary oedema and limb oedema.
-It gives a rapid onset of diuretic action with increased sodium and water excretion.
-It is even effective where glomerular filtration is impaired
Dosage and method of use:
Horses: IV, 1-2 ml/100 kg bw, 1-2 times/ day at intervals of 6-8 hours.
Cattle: IV, 1-2 ml/100 kg bw, at intervals of 12-14 hours.
Dogs, cats: IM/IV, 0.25-0.5 ml/5 kg bw. First dose 5 mg/kg reduced to 1-2 mg/kg for maintenance at 6-8 hour intervals.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
–Do not use in cases of :
-acute glomerulonephritis, renal failure with anuria. electrolyte deficiency disease or overdosage with digitalis
– concurrently with aminoglycoside antibiotic treatment.
-The therapeutic effect may be impaired by increased intake of drinking water, so far as the patient’s condition allows. The amount of drinking water should be restricted
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
-Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment by Furovet
-Cattle may be slaughtered for human consumption only after 28 days from the last treatment.
-Milk withdrawal period: 24 hours
-Not to be used in horses intended for human consumption.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR STORAGE:
-Do not store above 30°C. Protect from light
-If the product is stored for a prolonged period below +18 °C, crystalline precipitation may occur
