Composition
Each ml MARBOCEN contains:

Indications
Use MARBOCEN in Bovine for Treatment of respiratory infections caused by susceptible strains of Histophilus somni, Mannheimia haemolytica, Mycoplasma bovis, Pasteurella multocida sensitive to marbofloxacin.
Treatment of acute mastitis caused by strains of E. coli sensitive to marbofloxacin during the lactating period.
Contraindications
Do not use it in infections by resistant bacteria to other fluoroquinolones (cross-resistance).
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to marbofloxacin or other quinolones or in case of hypersensitivity to any excipient.
Adverse reactions
Intramuscular injection of MARBOCEN may cause local transitory reactions such as pain and swelling in the injection site and inflammatory lesions that persist, at least 12 days after injection. However, in bovine, subcutaneous injection is better tolerated locally than intramuscular injection. Thus, subcutaneous administration is preferred in heavy bovine. If you notice any serious effects or other effects not mentioned in this package leaflet, please inform your veterinary surgeon.

Dosage and Administration
Bovine: Treatment of respiratory infections: The recommended dose of MARBOCEN is 8 mg/kg bw, equivalent to 2 ml/ 25 kg bw, in a single intramuscular injection.
If the injected volume is higher than 20 ml, the dose should be divided in two or more injection sites.
In case of respiratory infections caused by Mycoplasma bovis, the recommended dose is 2 mg/kg (1 ml/ 50 kg bw) in a single daily injection by subcutaneous or intramuscular via during 3 – 5 consecutive days.
The first injection may also be given by the intravenous route.
Treatment of acute mastitis: The recommended dose is 2 mg/kg (1 ml/50 kg bw) in a single daily injection by subcutaneous or intramuscular via during 3 consecutive days.
The first dose can also be administered by intravenous route.
Withdrawal periods
Bovine :Intramuscular use (8 mg MARBOCEN/ kg in single dose):
Meat: 3 days.
Milk: 72 hours.
Intramuscular, subcutaneous or intravenous use (2 mg MARBOCEN/ kg/day, during 3-5 days):
Meat: 6 days.
Milk: 36 hours.
Special storage precausions
Keep MARBOCEN out of the sight and reach of children.
MARBOCEN does not require any special storage conditions.
Do not use MARBOCEN after the expiry date which is stated on the label.
Shelf life after first opening the immediate packaging: 28 days.
Formats
Vials of 50 ml., 100 ml and 250 ml. C.P 10 vials of 50 ml., 10 vials of 100 ml. and 10 vials of 250 ml.
Not all MARBOCEN sizes may be marketed.
