Composition:
Tylorate contains
Active ingredient:
Tylosin Tartrate 200 mg per ml
Other ingredients:
Benzyl alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Trisodium citrate, Water for injection.
Properties:
Tylosin has an antibacterial spectrum especially the gram positive, but also active against spirochetes, large viruses, certain gram negative micro-organisms and against certain Mycoplasma species.
Tylosin is relatively non-toxic, oral LD, in mice greater than 5000 mg per kg
Tylorate Indications:
Indicated for the treatment of Respiratory, Genitourinary tract infections, Otitis, Cellulitis, secondary bacterial infections associated with viral diseases or post-operative infections and for the treatment of Foul in the foot, Mastitis, and Pneumonia in Cattle, Sheep, and Goats
Target species:
Cattle, Sheep and Goats.
Dosage and administration:
Tylorate Administered by deep intramuscular injection.
Cattle: 1-2 ml per 40 kg bodyweight.
Sheep and Goats: 1 ml per 20 kg bodyweight.
If there is no response to treatment in 3 days, diagnosis and treatment should be reassessed.
The maximum injection volume for Cattle is limited to 15 ml per injection site
To ensure the correct dosage, bodyweight should be determined as accurately as possible to avoid under dosing
Contraindications:
-hypersensitivity to Tylosin other Macrolides or to any of the excipients
-given to Chickens or Turkeys
-administer to Horses or other equines in which injection of Tylosin may be fatal.
Withdrawal period:
Meat:28 days.
Milk 7 days
Storage:
Store below 25°C.
Shelf life: 24 months.
